Over St. Patrick’s weekend, the Little Way Cancer Support Centre was buzzing with colour,
creativity, and community spirit as we hosted a heartwarming celebration as part of Clane’s
festival programme.
From March 12th to 17th, our Homewares & Beauty Pop-Up Shop welcomed visitors from
near and far, offering beautiful items while raising funds for the centre’s essential support
services. The shop was a huge success, thanks to the generosity of those who stopped by to
browse, buy, and donate.
The highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly The Great Clane Home Baking Competition and Cake Bake Sale on St. Patrick’s Day. Amateur bakers of all ages, including a fantastic
turnout from our youngest baking stars, wowed the judges with their delicious and
imaginative creations. The addition of a Children’s Category brought even more smiles and
sweet moments to the event.
All proceeds from the event go directly into supporting those affected by cancer through the
work of Little Way. The overwhelming support we received truly shows the strength and
kindness of our local community.
We were thrilled to announce the winners of the baking competition after the St. Patrick’s
Day parade, where the atmosphere was full of celebration, pride, and community cheer.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who participated—our bakers, volunteers, shoppers,
judges, and supporters. You made this weekend one to remember, and we are so grateful.
Here’s to many more sweet moments together in the heart of Clane!
